Actually supply by aircraft of forward operating units did not take place until 1944 during Operation Bagration when it was used as an emergency measure to supply a Tank Army with fuel.

Hello, I have spent a number of years researching and writing a novel that involves an ethnic German family during World War 2. I am coming near the end of this project, but I want to make sure the scenes in my book seem authentic, as the novel is historical and based on real life events.

I am looking for someone who would be willing to look over a few chapters that are more military in nature. The characters are supply runners during and after operation Barbarossa. I would like to know if there are any obvious mistakes as to how things were done in Wehrmacht Heer on the Russian front and what conditions would have been like.

If you would kindly message me with a short "resume" of your expertise and if you'd be willing to do this, I would be grateful! I can't pay anything, but I would be happy to provide you with a digital copy of the book once it comes out.

I am in something of a hurry, so I'll go with the first person who replies. Please message me with your e-mail address, so I can send the chapters.
