Re: German officer interrogates a captured Soviet female sco
Well known photo. Just noticed the 4 rivits on the officers helmet. Which model would his lid be?

Hi
The extra rivets do make it look like a police helmet. The flaired sides also look a little shallow compared to the other helmets in the photo. Could it be an officer from the Polizei Division? Near Leningrad?
Out of interest, the soldier holding the Tokarev rifle is an SS officer (because of the dark collar on his jacket at that stage of the war, ie 1941+) . Since he had no waist belt to carry ammunition for the rifle he is likely to have only just picked it up. Hinting that he may be questioning the lady about military matters (regarding the rifle?).
No one else looks too concerned, except maybe the tall SS officer coming over to the conversation that is happening. The officer standing casually to the far right (with binoculars) is a Luftwaffe officer. The officer behind him is army. There are 5 officers in the photo.
All the best
Dennis
