This appears to be a force of Naval Infantry with another soldier. Rumanian? Yugoslavian? Can anyone tel me where and when this photo was taken?

Does anyone know who this is or when it was taken? I am assuming it is not a WW2 image but have no information. There's a coloured image on the same site but it looks like a daguerreotype.

I know that several Navy Lieutenants grew impressive beards but can anyone identify this individual?
