At Kotschanowo near Michalkino there was a tank attack on the 27th March 1942. What was the Soviet unit involved and are there any reports from the action?

Was that in connection with Battle of Moscow? Any larger towns nearby?

A reference to exact location and/or details of the engagement would be helpful in other similar topics.

So it was during German attempt to open a corridor to Demyansk Pocket.

According to information here: http://www.pobeda1945.su/division/6160 - 56 Independent Rifle Brigade and 929 Rifle Regiment of 254 Rifle Division was defending Michalkino (Mихалкино) at that time.
85 Tank Regiment was mentioned in the area, although I can't find anything about that unit.

From the Osprey's booklet on Demyansk by Robert Forczyk:

Thank you! Are there any reports available from the 69th Tank Brigade? Interestingly the divisional history of the 5. Jäger-Division claims thriteen enemy tanks destroyed during that day.
