Can't tell much from the photos.....looks like it's an M-40 (rolled edge w/stamped air vent), but has been repainted and relined with a West German liner and chin strap.....the shell should be stamped, that would tell "us" if it was an original shell...but Unfortunately....it's only a "representative" example, of "low value" ($100.00 US +/- to a reenactor-type)..., at best..... so depends on what is the asking price.... but nothing to get excited about....sorry!

No markings I´m afraid. But I understand that there were helmets made without markings. Under the green paint there is a brown/reddish paint, might it be the original?
I have no hopes for this one, but being my first helmet and only paying 20 dollars for it, I still find it fun to own

Can't loose at 20. Dollars......and no...the reddish-brown wouldn't be original either (unless part of a Camo. paint?)....all WW 2 helmets were marked, one way or another, but sometimes very faintly or age has removed them.....

This is the helmet you can let your friends handle and put on....(they won't know the differance!)
