Fur caps in the Wehrmacht - information?

Postby joachimhaupt on 17 Aug 2012 01:43

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone could provide me with information about the use of Wehrmacht-issue fur winter caps, particularly information about different models, which was most common, when and to whom they were issued, etc. Photos are welcome as well, thanks in advance.

Hello Joachim!

I haven't got any detailed information on different models or how they were issued, but here you have a group of soldiers with different(?) kind of fur caps...

The Obergefreiter and Kradmelder (Motorcycle messenger) is Kurt Schwarm, who recieved the RK on 11.01.1945 while being a Kradmelder in the Stab Pz.Gren.Rgt. 98 of the 8. Panzer-Division.
