Hard when "not in hand"....but my impression is that I don't like it "very much"..... the general "cut"doesn't seem "right", the wool isn't "normal?", the sweatband isn't normal (and is typical on many post war types), the markings don't strike me as period....
and I would want a better look at the bevo insignia and how they are sewn on....
Unless this came from a VERY GOOD SOURCE I'd be very leary of this one based on what I see....

To me the wool looks too thick ... perhaps cut from a greatcoat which may explain the way it 'sits' ? I agree with John on the sweatband and overall cut issues as well.

I don't like the fact that it doesn't have grommets either, which would suggest a field-made cap (if authentic which I don't believe it is) but then why the RBNr stamp if made in the field?
