Cuff titles original or fake?
CT
Well all I xan go by is what was stated in Davis's book. Guess someone should write him and tell him he's wrong. It may be possible he got the date wrong but the pic clearly shows the cuff title in use and sure looks like the desert behind the guy. Wouldn't be the first time that a miss print got by the proof reader

The date you quote is that of the Spanien cufftitle. I wonder, do you have the first edition of the book from 1971? Because in the revised 1973 edition it clearly gives the correct date of 18th July 1941.

Getting the basic facts straight is important. Far too often are typos and mistakes repeated and repeated until they become established fact.

Re: CUFF TITLES ORIGINAL OR FAKE?
Black light does not always work is a correct statement. Especially with SS Cuff titles being made via correct specifications with period materials which makes it almost impossible to tell the difference in many instances.
