Picture of Göring in SS uniform?

Anyone heard of this? If a pic exists, it's supposed to be uber rare...love to see it! Anyone any ideas?
I don't even know if it's prewar black, or wartime...

Göring never wore SS uniform. There are pictures of him in SA uniform, though.

Hi,
I would like to see Göring in SS uniform, if they could have been able to manufacture enough big size. And of course the uniform should have been made special colour, like his Reichsmarschall uniform: a combination of dove grey with black, and on the sleeve SS eagle with with curved points like the Luftwaffe one.

wud be rather interesting seein him in it, but wasnt Göring offered honorary rank in the SS but refused it due to his deep hatred for Himmler and not wanting to be subordinate to him ?

I never remember to see a picture of Göring in SS uniform, and I have been looking MANY pictures since 1972. As Stuckes58 said, he wasn t a really good friend of Heinrich. Except against Röhm.

No such photo could possibly exist. He was promoted to General der Landespolizei on 14. September 1933, but he never held SS rank- end of story.

Sorry Mike,
For re opening this old topic. I don´t want either cannot discuss with you, but as this picture is somehow related I prefer to put it here. Here a well known picture of nazi party members who wear the brown uniforms, but Göring seems to wear some much more darker (black) shirt or uniform. Now Allgemeine-SS shirts were also brown. So what is he wearing?
For me the person at extreme left is Göring

All posters are right when they say no photo of Göring in SS uniform exists. But , oddly enough, "Das Schwarze Korps" ran some illustrations in a 1935 issue showing what HG and Hitler himself would look like wearing the black SS uniform. I'll dig out the article and post a scan of the artwork.

In regards to this 1935 illustration let me explain what is being shown here. Both Hitler and Göring are illustrated as wearing early 1933 NSDAP uniforms. Hitler is shown wearing the first style Reichsleitung uniform that were worn by Reichsleitung department heads. This uniform consisted of a dark brown tunic with with standard party armband. Teh collar tabs were of the sa style as those worn by an SA Gruppenführer but with a carmine base with gold oakleaves and gold piping. The cap was short lived dark brown style Political leaders kepi. Göring is wearing the same color uniform but without insignia. The armband was an old style 1923 issue when he was a main leader of the Sturmabteilung. Göring like to wear this armband on many of his uniforms right up to 1939. The visor cap was dark brown and had the small winged PL eagle with a standard circular cockade. This uniform was unique to him. Hitler NEVER wore the type of uniform that he shown illustrated here. Why he was drawn with such a uniform is unknown.
