Why german officers always had this strange looking trousers?
where was the sence? imo this is always looking a bit stupid and looks also like a handicap in combat.

"Breeches" are horse riding trousers originally , and although it doesn't seems, they allow better movements that a straight trouser,
see their lateral baggy. But of course, are not clothes for combat, widely used in walking out dress uniform, in many world armies
of these years. They give to wearers a spectacular poise, something much appreciated by the germans.
