ww2 Uhlan

Post by Angus1235 » 11 Nov 2014, 06:17

I remember seeing a photo of a Wehrmacht officer in ww2 with an Uhlan tunic. I can't remember if he was in the Heer or Luftwaffe but it was definately an Uhlan tunic and definately ww2. Does anyone know about this at all?
and were ww1 items ever 'salvaged' by troops? Old boots, webbing, trousers or tunics. Etc?
would this have been against regulations?
Searching for Truppenfahrrad parts: Torpedo coaster brake parts, Union-werke headlight, truppenfahrrad handlebars, Torpedo front wheel hub.

Welcome,
Nobody is WW2 wore a Ulhan tunic.... you probably saw a prewar picture of Field Marshal Von Mackenstein ? (wore traditional uniform with Peltz-mutze (fur hat) or else it was a foreign uniform....
