Re: OT-badge
OT is for 90th Division (Texas Oklahoma) WW1 and WW2.
This unit did make it into France and hit a couple battles as well.
Some Info: http://www.lonesentry.com/gi_stories_bo ... index.html
The rank attached could be french for a Major (Commandant).

Sorry....but while your info on the 90th Div. is correct, the patch shown is for an Organization Todt rank....(the exact rank I have been unable to referance) and is a German WW 2 sleeve rank insignia...
I hadn't replied earlier because I don't know the exact rank....and thought someone else would come up with it. Just don't want any "miss-information"... it's definately German, nothing to do with US Div. or French rank....though I can see why you thought it might be....

Yes, John G. You're right.
The patch that led to misunderstanding....What about this ? ....It's a fake patch of 90th DIv. ?

von thoma,
Wool and letter style still look "German" to me, for Org. Todt.... 90th Division should be shield shaped and the "O" is oval and lays horizontally... (not that there aren't variations, etc.)...
I'd say the one you've posted is also O.T., but the shape is not typical... either trimmed or field modification... looks typical German wool and manurfacture from what's shown.

You're not Guilty.... but Snyder certianly is.... that's one of the WORST sites "out there".... full of fakes, fantasy, and fraud....(also, some good)... but always over priced and always with a question mark.... I'd recomend deleteing him from your frequent websites and NOT USING him for referance purposes...
About 1/2 his patches on the page posted are 1950s "PATCH KING" reproductions....
Avoid "Snyders treasures" except for laughs....

"taking a ruined "OT" patch and selling it for the price of a WW 1 US Division patch" is exactly the crap you should be beware of on that site..."
