Military Hats and Daggers.

Hi, I was wondering if I could get some help please regarding some military equipment?

My farther inlaw died a few weeks back and his wife wanted a sort out, he has loads of old military stuff. The most interesting was a nazi German hat with dagger.

The Hat inside has some markings:

10/74 is the date on the hat... can't be WW 2. Post pictures of the hat, dagger, and anything else you have questions about....

And 8405-12-151-750 is the format for a German (-12-) NATO stock number. It's not a 'nazi German hat', it's a West German hat...
