Recently I bought a M1935 restored stahlhelm. I liked the look so much I wanted the complete German uniform. However, after searching around for what type of german tunic to get, I was stumped. I can't find a definitive tunic model I need, and the info on the web is cloudy at best.
I need a tunic that is :
-Historically accurate with the time period
-German Heer uniform, not interested in SS atm
- Reasonably well made and historically accurate
-Not too expensive
Honestly, I don't know too much about the German WW2 uniform, except that it looks better than any uniform of other countries then. Anyone with knowledge on the subject, help would be appreciated.
Links to any sites that sell uniforms would be nice too. I live in US by the way.

If you have started to find collecting interesting, then there is a big ocean of information out there to help you. It is very very addictive, and interesting to collect militaria.
I would highly recommend you to become a member in both of these two Collector forums. It is free only need registration for spamming reasons.

Greetings! And congrats on your creative user name Admiral Donutz! That's a good one. Hopefully the Reich can have the next high level staff conference at the Dunkin' Donuts in the Hauptquartier Berlin, LOL. I think it is the one located right around the corner from the Reichskanzlei. After all, we certainly need to keep morale up!
Now, in answer to your questions. Here are a couple of vendors located in the US go get you started:
http://atthefront.com/
http://www.1944militaria.com/Default.asp
Both of these firms are reputable, have been around for a long time and they deal in good quality and accurate reproductions, although I believe that At The Front (ATF) is the best; note that I do not have any connection to them. The sort of Heer uniform you want to get depends on the time frame you want to portray, as there were changes to the tunic design and color over time. Your M35 helmet was worn throughout the war so it would go with any Heer tunic produced from 1935 onward.
Tunic background information to consider:
http://www.atthefrontshop.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=468
Some tunics were only worn late in the war, such as this reproduction M44:
Source: At The Front
While other, earlier models (even though replaced by later versions) also continued to be worn throughout the war (as stocks and private purchase allowed), such as this reproduction M36 (with Großdeutschland regiment/division insignia):
Source: At The Front
There are others, too (such as the M40). So it is up to you what to choose. Note the differences between them. The M36 would be more versatile as it was worn for a longer time than say the M44. Have a look at these two web sites linked above and you will find more examples. You might also consider getting a book explaining Heer uniforms and insignia. That way all the information will be available to you at once and not have to be found piecemeal on the Internet. There are many such books and this one is my basic recommendation:

Perhaps some other members here can also kindly add their own book recommendations for Heer uniforms? It has been a very long time since I last acquired any.
Keep in mind that insignia also changed during the war as well. So it can get a bit complicated to learn. But that should be easy if the subject interests you enough.
Hope this helps! Best of luck Herr Admiral.

Re: Questions on appropriate uniform
Hello and thank you. My username is actually supposed to be AdmiralDonitz, but many game forums and rules made me change it to Donutz. I really like it lol.
For the uniform, I definetly don't want a late war M44. I like the M36, but it seems little bit too green. But my helmet is painted in that same color so maybe. Really leaning towards the M40 or 43. I want a 1941-43 soldier look in my stuff, if that makes sense. What are your thoughts on this?
