Luftwaffe Eagle Please ID

Hello. I picked this up today at a flea market. Can you tell me is this is real? It appears to have some age and patina. Made of brass and silvered on the other side? Is it for an officer? Thanks

Luftwaffe EM/NCO Visor cap eagle- 2nd pattern. Not a typical version, but many variations exist.... hard to be sure on a variant version. IMHO it's questionable... (I don't remember seeing another like it and I've seen MANY!), but certainly open to other opinions.

Officers could wear the metal eagle but almost never done (by officers, that is).... metal is considered the EM/NCO version. Could also be worn on other headgear like Pile caps, fur hats, field & Overseas caps, etc. (Pith helmets had an opposite direction (forward flying) slightly larger version). The 1st pattern is called "droop-tail" for obvious reasons.

Not a rare eagle, assuming it's real (unless you need one to complete a hat).
