These, any many other shooting related awards were "unknown" until the mid-60s/early 70s when they suddenly appeared "everywhere".... supposedly from unissued "hoards".... many are accepted as real, but many still believe them to be Austrian made fakes.... I personally have my doubts... but I can't say for sure. I've never seen one of them come in a vet. lot.

Back plate & pin are same as those on many KNOWN reproduction "Olympic Judges/Press/etc." enamel badges.... 8O

My first feeling on this was that it was not good. Several people have however indicated that it was a good original?? Confusing..
