Any help on what this represents?

#1

Post by 8thssfloriangeyer » 10 Jan 2017, 11:06

Hello helpful people, I am hoping someone can educate me on what this insignia stands for? I recently received some Nazi-era badges and pins as gifts for Christmas, all of which I could identify other then this one? Any idea what the A.S. stands for? And for the record there are no identifiable markings on the back.

Thank you so very much!

It's not German.... IMHO it's a 40s vintage U.S. Scholastic Pin... the eagle just looks "German" so it was added to the military lot sometime in the past... may have been the vet.'s school pin, who knows? The "A S" are probably the schools initials...

Typical US scholastic pin from that era.... seeing the reverse & mounting would help pin it down for sure.

Thanks so much for your help!

And I was wrong there is some markings on the back, I should have included a photo originally, my apologies!

"Pin it down for sure" Thats a good one!
