Battle at Selabiha 30 Nov 1915

Mates,

British accounts (BOWH) page 120 mentions the fighting at Umm at Tubul, where Nur el Din with the 13th and 18th Turkish Corps wondered into the British camp.

From Tosun he mentions the Turks appear to call this battle Selabiha or (Delabiha and it was fought on the 30 Nov 1915 while British accounts show 1 Dec 1915

Any way the British mention the 13th Corps commander was killed and the commanders of the 35th Div and 38th Div were wounded?

Now who are these commanders?

I do show the commander 51st Div was killed that day;

Col Mehmet Ali Bey 9-15 KIA 30-11-15 at Selabiha

But I also show he also commanded the 13th Corps?

Do you know who these three officers were?

I have no firm commanders for both Divisions (35th and 38th Div's) at this date

Can you help here?

S.B

Tosun,

Thank you.

Yes how I saw he was temp commander the 13th Corps is unknown.

The 44th Regt gets some mention as it was the only Turkish unit to get into the British camp and I shown two commanders of that Regt killed?

LtCol Rifat Bey PoW 30-10-15 or 30-11-15
Hasan Yetimi Bey KIA 30-11-15

Do you have any details on these men?

Cheers

S.B
