Tosun,

Thank you.

Yes I think Suphi Nuri Bey was the same officer who commanded the 1st Company Camel (Hecin) Regt during 1915 in Sinai.

Cheers

Yes you are right Suphi Nuri (İleri) commanded the 1st Company Camel (Hecin) Regt during 1915 in Sinai. After canal he was appointed to HQ of Cemal pasha as head of Law and information section. because he had his law education at Paris with a Dr degrre. A very interesting man coming from a prominent Turkish family. His grandfather was Abidin Pasha a statemen not a military personality. He dies at a heart attack in 1906 as he heard that the sultan appointed thim as his Grandvezier. His doughter marries to Mustafa Nuri Bey who was also a prominent stateman. Suphi Nuri was ordered to take the rest capital of Army Group Yildirim to bring to the order of Mustafa kemal in Haleppo after the Nablus defeat. After the war we see him as secratery of reserve officers union. He was a great Turkish socialist. He established the Turkish Socialist Party and became the first secratary. He had his prof degree at Istanbul University. Atatürk trusted him very much.

Lt Suphi Nuri (ileri)
Lt Sedet Nuri
Nuri Pasa (Killigall)
Col Osman Nuri Bey
LtCol Nuri Bey

Cheers
