The Early Tunisian Army, prior to 1881
I am interested in more information of the Tunisian Army (as it evolved from the Modern Ear - Post 1826, Ottoman Turkish military), up till the French conquest of Tunisia 1881. The Crimean period:
The rank insignia used?
Post Crimean uniforms till 1881?

Try to obtain a copy of the book "National Military Museum / Palais de la Rose" published by the Tunisian Ministry of National Defence (or better visit that museum in Tunis if you have the chance to do so).
