22nd Corps Staff officers

#1

Mates,

THis was late formed Corps but a vetern Corps serving in such areas as;

Mesopotamia: Oct 16 to Feb 17 to Palestine: Jan17 to Aug 18 (Yildirim Army Group in Sina-Palastine Front) to Caucasus: May 18 to Sept 18

I was wondering what you have on the Staff officers of this Corps during the war.

I show two officers who commanded it;

Col Kress von Kressenstein (G) -

Col Refet Bey (Bele)

But not what dates they commanded?

Also who was the CofS (Chief of staff)

The only other officer I found on Staff was;

ADC - Capt Izzet Bey (but not to what Senior officer?)

Any ideas

Cheers

Mates,

I show Col Refet Bey (Bele) as Temp Commander 53rd Div in March 1917 following the capture of its commander at 1st Gaza (LtCol Serif Bey) untill the new commander arrived (Col Selahattin Bey 3-17 to 8-18)

Was he with the 22nd Corps at that time?

Tosun,

Do you have any details on these two officers?

Capt Izzet Efendi (Aksalur) ADC to Col Refet Bey - 22nd Corps

Capt Muharrem Mazlum Efendi (Iskora) Staff Capt - 22nd Corps 10-17 to 12-17

Do you have their service numbers, and service details, like did they serve in the War of Independence?

I notice you give both men as later Colonel General, do you know when?

Cheers

I could not find the family name of Maj(LtCol. Mustafa İzzet Bey. On the other hand M.İzzet Aksalur is a graduate of 1913 therefore he is not the same man.
