Mates,

Some time ago I tried to confirm the commanders at 2nd Gaza, but could not confirm those with the 53rd Div

The 4th Army under Col Ahmed Djemal (Cemal or Cemel) Pasha

22nd Corps under Col Kress von Kressenstein

53rd Div under Col Refet Bey (Bele)

1-4/161st Regt under ?

1-3/163rd Regt under ?

1-3/165th Regt - 165th MG Co (53rd Div) under ?

1-3/125th Regt- 125th MG Co (attached from 16th Div) under possibly Maj Hayr Bey

14th Artillery Regt under ?

reports place the 14th Artillery Regt with the 53rd Div, but I can't confirm that

Why was the 14th FAR here when the 14th Div was sent to Iraq, and where was the 53rd Artillery Regt?

reports confirm the 14th FAR with the 53rd Div around Oct 1917

Can these be confirmed and the missing officers found?

Cheers

S.B
