Captured Officers by British

Mates,

I was looking at a British PoW report that reported these officers captured during Sept - Oct 1918 in Palestine, who I did not know?

Shown as

LtCol Serid Sirrey - 24th Div 4th Army

LtCol Ali Vehbi - Maan Det 4th Army

Maj Shevki Ali Ghalib - CGS 22nd Corps

Its plan that the British spelling of these names is wrong but do you know who they maybe?

I had thought that ;

Maj Shevki Ali Ghalib - CGS 22nd Corps maybe Maj Galip Bey CofS 22nd Corps between 1-18 to 10-18

Is that correct?

Any ideas

Mates,

Checking has found maybe one of these officers

LtCol Serid Sirrey - 24th Div 4th Army

Possibly 2nd Infantry Regt - commander Maj Sirri Bey (mentioned in Allied documents June 1918)

While I don't show him as the commander 24th Div he was in that Div

The commander of the 24th Div is shown in records as either

Col Böhme (German) 10-18? and or LtCol Lütfü Bey

So did Maj Sirri get promated to LtCol and commanded the 24th Div is unknown?

Cheers

S.B
