Nur ed din

Mates,

During the fighting around Kut during June July 1915, British records keep mentioning a Turkish General name Nur ed Din in command.

He is first mentioned after the death of LtCol Süleyman Askeri Bey 38th Div

But my records are not sure on who commanded at that time as the 38th Div was a shadow of its formed self after heavy fighting between Nov 1914 to Shaiba April 1915.

I do show these commanders

LtCol Ali Bey (formed commander 2xBns Fire Bde Regt) 4-15
Col Nurettin Bey (Sakalli) 5-15)
Refik Bey 6-15?

Could Nur ed din be Col Nurettin Bey (Sakalli)?

Any ideas

After Süleyman Askerikilled himsef in April14th 1915 Maj Ali Bey (MP Çetinkaya) commanded the Irak and Surroundings Command. Then Staff Col. Nurettin Bey ( Lt. Gen Sakallı) took command at the end of May.
Nurettin Paşa (Nureddin İbrahim Konyar or wellknown as Sakallı Nurettin Paşa; 1873, Bursa - 18.2.1932, İstanbul),

Son of Fieldmarshall İbrahim Paşa. For that reason he is mentionet at the album of Turkish Generals and admirals as İbrahim Nurettin

Retired: 29.1.1925
