Austrian guns in Mesopotamia

#1

Post by stevebecker » 14 Feb 2016, 01:00

Mates,

The British Offical War History (War in Mesopotamia) vol 3 pages 242

Mentions a few times Austrian Mountain guns attached to the 18th Corps units like the 51st and 52nd Div's in fighting outside Baghdad around March 1917.
Do we known what Austrian units were with the 6th Army in Iraq at this time?

Or if the Austrian mountain guns may refer to skoda Mountain guns with the 18th Corps?

Cheers

Yes the Austrian mountain guns refer to skoda Mountain guns. There were no single KuK personal at Irak.
