Mates,

I notice a British report that's states Enver Pasha went on a trip to Mecca in early 1916, of which the British say was to get the flag of the prophet.

Which the British conclude that was need to incite the Muslims.

But they also report that Enver was not allowed to take the flag?

Do we know any thing about this?

Wrong! Flag of prophet was in Istanbul since 1517. And still in Turkey in the museum. In 1517 Yavuz Sultan Selim Han conqured Egypt and take the tittle "chalif of müslims. Then He conqured the holy cites of Mekka and medina in Hijaz.
