The official AHF Third Reich music quiz thread
Re: Question 69
I've been forwarded the source article a while ago, but didn't want to cheat of course. Without knowing the exact article and photo, I'm afraid these men couldn't be identified solely by this small copy of a low quality print. None of the faces is visible for starters, and there's not even one, but three of them. My point: let's keep the quiz truly guessable, or at least provide some helpful hints. Personally, I would have guessed only Husadel on the right and thought about Haase being the man next to him, but wouldn't be sure about him. But the article does confirm them both. I'll leave the man on the left to be identified by someone else and ask the original poster to post a hint, or to give away the answer and post an easier question.
Cheers,
Ivan

Re: Question 69
Well... Maybe Hans Teichmann ???
Re: Question 69
Well, Ivan is right, from right to left there are Husadel and Haase. Hint: the man on the left also leaded an "elite" military band in the Luftwaffe, after the war he stayed in the same city, where he served during the time of the Third Reich and (possibly) created his own dance orchestra. And the photo shows all three conductors in Rome, 1938.
@Maikowski: nope, it is not Teichmann.

Re: Question 69
In that case, I would say Hans Friess who led the Musikkorps des Régiments General Göring.

Re: Question 69
Wrong, 1938 it was exactly Haase, who led this military band.

Re: Question 69
Could anybody check (or it is already known?), is the jazz drummer Günter Kiesant Kiesant's son? If so, apparantly his full name was Georg Erich Kiesant.

You know a good question? Please post...
Question 71
Sorry, at first I wanted someone else to answer it, and then forgot to answer myself.Fallersleben wrote:Answer: Otto KermbachFallersleben wrote:Which person had the nickname Otto-Otto?
Anyhow, here's one: what was the rarely known (today basically unknown) title of "Wir kommen wieder"?
Hint: it has something (better said: everything) to do with the season we're currently in.
Cheers,
Ivan

Auceps wrote:Das Winterlied?
Although it was originally created in the summer of 1940, after the invasion of France, it was repopularized during the winter of 1941/42 (it was recorded in December and January) and additionally named "Das Winterlied" [The Winter Song].
Over to you!
