Does anybody have any pictures or drawings of the statue erected in Frankfurt an der Oder (?) of Johann Gottfried Piefke? It was later torn down by the communists I read, but i've never seen any images of it, or even heard a description.

Does anybody have any info on this famous march composers statue memorial?

His statue is yet another victim of the Red puppet state.

But his musik lives on forever.

Es lebe Piefke!

Well his NAME still lives, as the austrian nickname and derogative for the (northern) german. His performance as a bandleader with the prussian music corps in vienna was so "martial" that the austrians until today call the perfectionistic teuton a "Piefke". and the way he talks "piefkinesisch".
