What I mean is that so much popular music was declared "Vertarte Kunst" in the Third Reich, and the Third Reich never had the same level of total control over German society Stalin did, it makes me wonder if there was a pirate radio, playing jazz and big band, etc. for young people with radios and some street knowldge of where to find it.
And if there was, did they stay out of politics to cover their butts, and hopefully be ignored by the Gestapo, or did they openly criticize the govenment. I'm working on a story, and I'd like to include some of the details everyday life in the Reich during the war years, but even before would be helpful.
