HJ singt [medley]

[Two topics dealing with the same medley have been merged and renamed by the host, Ivan Ž.]

Hi!

I wonder if anyone has lyrics for the Hitlerjungend divisional march version of "Morgen Marschieren Wir"? I have tried to find them but without success. The Hitlerjugend-version seems to be some kind of a potpouri. It begins with the first chapter of original "Morgen Marschieren Wir", then the overall melody and lyrics as well do change. The third part is taken from "Morgen Marschieren wir im Feindesland" that - despite the very similar name - is actually a different song. And the fourth and most well-known part of the song is the chorus of "Vorwärts, Vorwärts!".

If anyone could put together the lyrics, I would really appreciate that :) Thanks.

This medley never had anything to do with the Hitlerjugend division, that is just a popular misconception, started by a pirate CD in the 1990s. It is actually the 2nd part of the medley called "HJ singt", which was recorded in 1937 by an orchestra conducted by Bruno Seidler-Winkler (he is probably also the uncredited composer of the medley) with vocals by HJ-Schar Schlachtensee.

These are the lyrics for the complete recording, written by myself (using period songbooks and by listening):

HJ singt

Jugend kennt keine Gefahren.
Deutschland, du wirst leuchtend steh'n,
Mögen wir auch untergeh'n.

"Vorwärts! Vorwärts!" schmettern die hellen Fanfaren.
Vorwärts! Vorwärts! Jugend kennt keine Gefahren.
Ist das Ziel auch noch so hoch,
Jugend zwingt es doch!

Uns're Fahne flattert uns voran.

Uns're Fahne flattert uns voran.

Hello,

I've merged your post with the older topic dealing with the same subject. As you can see in the original label scan above, it is NOT a "12. SS-Division Potpourri" - that is a fictional title (like most titles you can find online and on most CDs). And the record is not easy to find today.

The faking of the title began in the early 1970s when the USA company "Our Times" released the recording on its LP "War Songs of the Third Reich" Vol. 3, under the title "Morgan Marschiern Wir". The same recording was copied by the previously mentioned "RMK" and released in 1990s on its pirate scam-CD "SS-Division Hitler-Jugend" (note: all other tracks in this CD are fakes/off-topic as well). And it is these scammers who additionally named it "Marsch der SS-Division HJ" (although it isn't even a march, but a medley  ). And the "RMK" copy of the recording from the "Our Times" LP was in 2000s copied by "Tomahawk Films" company on their own pirate CD called "Lieder der Sturm-Abteilung und Hitlerjugend".

Incidentally, "Marsch der Pappenheimer" is not mentioned on label and in catalogue. More sloppy errors in catalogue...

There were many errors indeed, but this time it's simple: the title is HJ singt: Ein junges Volk [and so on]. And "Marsch der Pappenheimer" was not sung, that's why it's not there.

Cheers,
Ivan

Hello, does anyone happen to have an MP3 file of this record?

Specifically for Unsere Fahne flattert uns voran, I collect recordings of that song as hobby and I want to know if this one is one I've never heard before
