[Topic renamed by the host, Ivan Ž.]

Does anyone have the entire lyrics for "Schlageter-Nationalmarsch?" I have the march but can't decipher all of the words.

Thanks!
Dave

Here they are:

Schlageter-Nationalmarsch

Treu bis zur letzten Stunde,
treu deutschem Pflichtgebot,
mit festverschloss’nem Munde
fielst du für deutsche Not.

Die Fahne soll sich senken
bei deines Namens klang,
wir wollen dein Gedenken,
das ganze Leben lang.

Hello, Claymore

Those are indeed the complete lyrics - for the poem written by Paul Boeddinghaus in 1923, after Schlageter's death. The poem was popular and sang usually to the melody of "Ich hatt' einen Kameraden". And the march we are discussing here was composed in 1933 by Karl Klein and it featured excerpts from Boeddinghaus' poem. And the lyrics I posted match Klein's piece (Schlageter-Nationalmarsch).
