Hi!
I came across an interesting collar tab featuring a lyra and explanation: "SS-Musikschule Braunschweig". I have never seen photos of these worn.
Could someone tell a bit about this institute? When was it founded, and was it perhaps attached to SS-Junkerschule Braunschweig?
Were all SS bandsmen trained there or was it sort of a 'music academy' for band leaders and Musikmeister within the SS? I think that at least LSSAH organized their band training by themselves.
Thanks,
Mikko

Re: SS-Musikschule Braunschweig
Another portion of interesting photos from the SS-Kriegsberichter Archive - this time from SS-KB Mielke, who took shots of pupils from the SS military music school in Braunschweig. Some of the photos were published in the book "Musik in der Waffen-SS".
