Hello to all :D; more follows...........

The light AA guns of Abbeville.

On May 31, 1940 came the order of the division, the Abbeville bridgehead must be retained at all costs. Early in the morning the French heavy tanks appear barking before Moyenville, Hauptmann K saw them from the steeple of the church. The German light machine guns opened up and it were heard the anti-tank guns' explosions that seem to have revived again. Yesterday twenty armored came to the attack from the forest, but today only four, soon they were burning like torches.

A few nests of resistance and a French observation post are detected south of Mont Cesar; the 2. Battery opened fire on them. Naturally answered the French artillery, but not on Mont Cesar, but slightly behind on the groves, ravines and roads; the ammunition vehicles!. Soon several of them are touched, burned and exploded, scattering its remains close by.

The light AA guns of Abbeville.

On June 1, 1940 again the French artillery unleashed its concentrations on Mont Cêsar. The soldiers of the 3rd. Battery remained protected in their positions dug in the hillside. Soon a shell impacted on the route between the vehicles and four exploded right away; in the HQ of the group one man was killed and another wounded. The 2. Battery had five seriously wounded, one of them very serious Hauptmann K with the left foot shattered and a splinter in the left lung. So far the Flak Abteilung bearers had worked in helping the infantry. While the physician of the group, Dr S offered the first aid to K, Oberstleutnant Wolf joined them.

Hello,
This is a very interesting topic and link to the Adler Magazines.
Adler 1941 nr 10 (page 318) magazine mentions the burial of 2 men at Attenhoven and the claims of 9 aircraft around Attenhoven (I'm living near Attenhoven) on the 13th of May.
Does the Kriegstagebuch mentions the names of the men and timings of the claims? I think the 2 men were reburied during the war in the garden of the covent of Landen.
Can you help me with the info about the men and claims?
Regards,
