This is the map of Flieger-Regiment 51 wich was on ebay a few weeks ago. In the north of Holland where they ended is Zuidlaren and Hoogezand/Sappemeer

Within the Flieger-Regiment 22 you had the Einheit Odorfer. The Einheit Odorfer was stationed in Groningen city at the ''Friesland Kazerne''. Atleast the 4. Kompanie and the 9. Kompanie belonged to this Einheit. Most probably the 5. - 8. also.

And the reason you don't find any of this on the internet is because this can be found in the archives of Groningen.

I'm now busy with a personell list of the 22. with help from the documents I have. I will post them as soon I'm finished. Most of the members were born in 1927. So 17-18 years when they came in Groningen.

Thanks. Not in Groningen yet. Not the entire regiments were in Groningen but very large remnants. The units were ripped apart during battles. They came here to re-group

What can you tell us about the archives in Groningen ? how can a person retrieve information from there ?

You need to go there to see what you want to see and take pictures of the documents of your interest. But when you search for ''Flieger-Regiment'' for example you won't find anything. I found all my information in files where I didn't expect them to be in.
