WW2 german airborne vehicles

#1

Post by RedBjarne » 19 Jan 2014, 14:02

Hi

I have a question for the experts in this forum.
The American light tank, M22 Locust, was designed and used as an airborne tank sent into battle using gliders together with paratroopers. My question is, did the germans have any similar vehicles?

Cheers
Jacob

Panzer I "Ausf. C“ (VK 601) equipped with a 20mm MK was designed as an airborne tank. Only 40 of these tanks were produced.

Helmut
