Germany's Most Beautifully Designed WWII Awards

#1

Post by Johnnyrocket » 11 Jun 2009, 19:25

I've started a new thread to show some of what I think are the most beautiful of the WWII era (German/Nazi) awards.
From a purely artistic and graphic standpoint these are what I would consider the finest.

Please post some of your own images and thoughts.

Indeed, but it's not WWII era. Only people wearing it in WWII had been awarded it during WWI.

War Merit Cross 1st Class. A very basic design, but is exquisite in its simplicity.

I have to agrea that the German Order, Arts and Siences and Eagle Order are the very finest of the designe world. However the examples shown are unfortunatly all fakes.

I take the opertunity of posting the originals. Maybe the link might be of interest to thouse interested in these awards.

War Lord has hit a home run with these examples of the best designed awards from the Nazi German era.
