Combat Days

Postby Matt Gibbs on 26 Apr 2002 08:00

Dear Members;
In the course of my research into this award I have recieved some copies of a Soldbuch issued to a police unit member.
There is a two page listing for combat days for anti partisan duties, duly typewritten and stamped up by the Obersturmbannfuhrer of the unit. The combat days listed are all in the russian theatre. They stem from July 1943 to January 1944. The page title heading is Einlage zum Soldbuch and there is space for name etc and date of birth.
Under this is the title :
BESTATIGTE BANDENKAMPFTAGE
and in smaller text:
Es sind jeweils 20,50 und 100 Kampftage abzuschliessen und gesamt zu beglaubigen. Das Gleiche gilt bei Abordnungen und Versetzungen.
Can someone provide translation..?
I am making a quiery regards the number of qualifying days because I have read elsewhere that the days are 20, 50 and 100 days for ground troops and 30,75 and 150 for Luftwaffe flight crews. [source R.Lumsden]
Info appreciated on this topic please!
Regards

BASIC TRANSLATION

Postby WCSTUMP on 26 Apr 2002 12:27

BESTATIGTE FIGHTING DAYS..

In each case 20.50 and 100 combat days are to be locked and authenticated entirely. The same applies with delegations and transfers.

Mr. Duke's appears to be a genuine battlefield dug badge.

Roger's should be in good company with his Hitler's wooden toothpick.

I can only presume your reference is directed to me.

I fully understand but obviously you don't, otherwise you would simply be silent and not even remotely make reference to the indiviual you wish to ignore and have others ignore. You should practice what you preach.

Considering that this is not your forum, you seem to have a great deal of advice as to who should be ignored. This only indicates insecurity on your part. This decision to ignore should be up to those not wishing to post responses to my postings and not from your misplaced advice to do so.

If you have nothing nice to say about anyone, then don't say anything at all. You do realize that I have several supporters here on the forum, including one of the other hosts, and that bothers you. It seems that in some way you feel challanged by my presence.

I could say more in a much stronger way, but Marcus would not appreciate that, nor would the other members. So we will simply let it go at this.

Simply leave me along and I shall do likewise. I'm certain that Marcus would agree with that.

When you ask me a question DICK, you will be ignored. You asked the below question, and you are and will be ignored.....at least by the intelligent on this forum.

Diamond AP

Postby Keith Loughmiller on 27 Apr 2002 00:14

Mr. Honts's Antipartisan badge with diamonds look to be authentic, and very rare badge. People should not put his badge "down" as we are lucky to see pictures of it. Just my thoughts.

Hello,

hello

Postby RF HONTS on 27 Apr 2002 03:25

Hello,

I have lowered the resolution and size on purpose. This is one of two or three badges, so I perfer not to really even show the reverse. Andre Husken also shows a scan of his item in one of his catalogs.

The piece is maker marked on reverse of C.E. Junker Berlin and 800 for the silver content #.

Outstanding!!

Postby Keith Loughmiller on 27 Apr 2002 12:28

That is one fine badge!!! I esp like the catch to hold the pin closed. Thank you for posting that, as I have never seen an Antipartisan with diamonds, and now I know what a real one looks like. You must be very proud to have that in your collection. Thanks again! 8O
