What class is this award ?
My sources no mention the swords.
From 1939.

Eagle Orders are confusing because there's the 1937-39 award series, the addition of "Swords" to all awards in 1939, and then the 1943 series that regraded & added grades. This would be the 1939 3rd Cl. w/swords or the 1943 5th Cl. with swords. It would have the grade markings inside the Prestentation box.

Looks like a "honey".....this is on my very short "BUCKET LIST".....one of the more striking 3rd Reich Awards...

Hello there,

The inside of the lid of the presentation case will tell you what grade you have, 3rd or 5th class. When you know what grade you have you know when the cross was produced.
