Slacky,
Impossible to tell from these limited photos....looks like there are "seams" inside of the ring where the engraving has been "added" after the ring itself was struck, that and the poor quality of the details, and the lack of wear... all say new generation reproduction to me..... the details don't appear to match a 1944 period ring from what can be seen.

However, very limited knowledge on these (me) and bad pictures... see what others (or other forums) might have to say.

another I could ask him for better pictures . at first I just braught this book (http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=205755) of ebay and he said he had a ring these are the pictures sent

:lol: The Book doesn't change the ring.... you have the referance book....at some point you have to be able to decide on your own. Really, you bought the book and the seller is offering this ring???? NOT IN A MILLION YEARS!!!! ....Unless from Don himself, and he's the one offering the ring.....and even then, he has his distractors, too!

More pictures won't really help....and why the "poor quality pictures" in the first place, unless to "lure" someone in! DANGER in RED LETTERS all over this....

he isn't a dealer . he was a person I braught a book off from ebay .the book was about the totenkopf ring and he said after that he had a ring as well

hello, please forgive me for posting on someone else's thread for my 1st post. I have recently aquired a ring similar to this. how've i am unable to tell if its a replica or real. is there anyone (in uk) able to help me discover whether its real?
