These were in the possession of my Dad and according to family legend they were procured during WWII by my great grandfather. I don't know how he came into possession of them but I assume he may have traded POWs for this stuff after the war while he was still in Europe. Any idea of what they are specifically and approximate value would be very helpful. I consider myself an expert in small arms but know nothing about medals. The iron cross has a replacement ribbon.
Could you identify and value these medals?

A quick ID and general evaluation:
1. 1939 War Merit Cross 2nd Cl. w/swords. Has wrong ribbon (ribbon is for War Merit Medal)...shouldn't have the center stripe on the 2nd Cl. ribbon.... either way, very common.... worth $20./35.00.
2. German WW 1 (or earlier) Veterans Organization lapel pin. Alittle unappreciated IMO... worth $25./45.00
3. Luftwaffe Fallschirmjager (Paratroop) Qualification Badge in cloth- worth $100./150.00
4. 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Cl. ......worth $75./100.00 (without an original ribbon....)
5. 1914-18 Honor Cross w/swords- another very common medal. Worth $20./25.00
Nothing super rare but all appear original.... values are "range of retail values in US Dollars"...all IMO as a collector/dealer of over 50 yrs. experiance...

Re: Could you identify and value these medals?
Thank you so much John. You saved me hours upon hours of research. I always appreciate hearing from those who are experts because even hours of research could not have given me insight into relative rarity and reasonable value. Thanks again.

I can only echo what John has stated above and I think he's spot on.
