What Is This ?
What Is This ?
This 4"x4" aluminum eagle with HK is vaulted, and on the back there are 3 broken attachment points. the attachment points look to be similar to ones used for vehicles. "Berg&Nolte" , "Ludenschied" and 36 with a trademark of some sort on the back.
Re: What Is This ?
Looks like a 2nd pattern NSKK Crash helmet front plate with the "NSKK" banner removed....

Re: What Is This ?
pics of helmet JohnG says, but Adler posted is different, Note the space from Rondel/swaz/ to the bottom of Adler. So the adler posted cannot be from 2nd version helmet

Re: What Is This ?
Mark is correct that it's not the helmet plate, but it appears to be a 2nd pat. NSKK eagle with missing banner all the same.... but "off what" I don't know.... (you can see the jaggered edges where the banner was attached in the first picture...

Nope, the Germans went more into vehicle pennants than 'hood' ornaments.jpage wrote:Guess it's not a hood ornament ?
