Hello there,

In my opinion, the badge first posted is NOT an authentic ground-dug Gablonz produced badge but a reproduction in poor condition. Most likely buried in the ground for some time to try and fool as being a ground-dug original, as well as hide some of the crude and obvious manufacturing mistakes. The devil is in the details, and they're trying to hide these tell-tale characteristics.

If you look at the reverse hardware, that is the initial indicating factor that this badge is not an authentic AS in a triangle produced piece. The Gablonz manufacturers ALL used a very unique catch system like the one I am showing below. It is somewhat of a counter-sunk flatwire example, and not the round "C-type" catch like the fake that started the thread. Also to note, is the lack of a block-hinge setup, but instead a ball hinge (with flat area, and not truly spherical in shape, pay attention to this trait as well)
