Hi All,

Hope you can help! My dad bought me a Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918 to add to my Third Reich awarded medal collection and I have a few questions. He mentioned that he only got it for £18! It has a makers maker 'Erbe' which I know was a maker but im still not 100%. Please see images and decide for yourself! thanks in advance :)

Miles23,
Your Honor Cross for Combattants 1914/1918 appears to be original.... as does it's ribbon. However, it's probably the most produced medal of the "era".... at 18£s, you father paid "thru the nose!".... but say nothing and keep it for what it is and represents. Usually these can be had here in the states for "around $20.00 US (+/-)"... same for "noncombattants", "Widows" is the scarcer of the 3...
Anything you don't have is a nice addition....so congradulations....
John G.

A fine original, as John say's £18 is retail price ... something that I'll pay only if the item fills a part of the collection but as a present you should just be grateful (and look out for the other 2 medals  )

Please excuse the abysmal photograph
