EK2 buying opinion

Post by Totalkrieg » 09 Sep 2014, 00:16

Hi, guys! I'm looking for my first EK2 from the Third Reich and found this one

Does this look legit?

Is US$95 a good price for it?

Thanks!

Looks alright from the limited photos....ribbon could be a replacement, EK is mid/late war quality, does that price include the envelope?
Risky without knowing who you're really dealing with... but if everything is legit and includes the envelope, an excellent buy... (but a BIG "IF"....)

The cross looks allright, the band is a reproduction. 95USD is ok, in Germany they are around 80 Euros

The envelope is for a KVKIImS anyway, and as said the ribbon is fake so I would leave this one and wait for a nice example :|

Cheers, Ian.

Hi Alf, here are my original Westwall ribbons ...

Image

Note the ends of the individual rows of the ribbon ? See how they loop round to return for the next row ? Now look at this fake ...

Image

See how there isn't the same loop ?
