I acquired about 15 medals and believe some to be original. I would appreciate it for any help with them. First up are two EK2s One is marked with an incused 3 the other unmarked.

Re: For your consideration
First EK39 2nd Cl. is fine ("3" mkd. ring).... the 2nd looks bad, based on what I can see... especially the frame & core.... looks like it's a one piece?

No its defiantly a three piece construction with magnetic core. The quality is very high if its a fake. the paint under a loop shows it to have veined and worn away. From all I have read this takes years. Its has nice cross hatching in the corners.
Re: For your consideration
Obviously, in hand is/can be differant than a photo... as I said... based on what I can "see", I gave my opinion... if you were so sure, why ask? A squirt of WD 40 wouldn't hurt... and might help with the photos... but always a personal choice.
Best wishes..

Re: For your consideration
I picked up 4 good IAB, two EK2s ww2 one EK2 ww1 and a bar ww1 with 3 medals on it for 15 dollars, seller thought they were fakes. I figured for the money it was worth the chance and I knew that one of the IABs was original. One is the rare rivet version that many look for for years. So I hit a home run on this one.
