Can you help me identify this stick pin?
Picked this up this weekend. Looks period-type, with a lightly knurled pin, but I can't find it in any of my reference books.

The design is similar to the 'Civilian Pilot' badge.

A clue.. yeah, I can see that. Thanks.
Re: Can you help me identify this stick pin?
It's a stickpin for "Civilian Flying Personnel" (in this case not just "Civil Pilots")... Listed in H&H Stickpin "Handbuch" #2706a under listing LUFTFAHRTBETRIEBE as "Abz. für Gefolgschaftsmitglieder". Some referances call it "Luftw. Civilian Employees" but not accurate. Exact usage alittle muddled but a scarce stickpin IMHO.
Is the swastika enameled? Just noticed it might be looking at the Photo.

Very helpful, thanks, John. Yes, swastika is enameled. Wings are not.

Probably surplus to my needs.

Angolia's account for this pin (Uniforms & Traditions of the Luftwaffe) does not contradict Hüsken's, but it's not for "Flying Personnel". The pin shown here appears to have enamelled wings and the right side chipped. A close-up of the pin would also be helpful. The two other images represent 1st and 2nd type in Hüsken's book.John G. wrote:It's a stickpin for "Civilian Flying Personnel" (in this case not just "Civil Pilots")... Re: Can you help me identify this stick pin?
Thanks. It's pretty clear you've got it nailed.
The swastika is definitely enameled.
I don't think it' chipped. The wings aren't enameled, I think, they look to be painted, and the paint is removed from right side.
If I can take a better picture, will do so.
Thanks again.
