Re: Got these today
Party pin with missing attachment device marked "RZM" and "M1/128 for the firm of "Eugen Schmidhaussler of Pforzheim".
Also a possible gold wound badge that is unmarked. Traces of gilting still visible.
Total cost was $50.

Re: Got these today
I think you have a silver wound badge but I don't recognize the maker, though it appears authentic. The catch is quite unique.

Re: Got these today
Thanks for your input. You're probably right although the traces look gold in better light under a glass.
I thought the catch was unusual too. I'm still looking in books. It feels authentic to me( very heavy and solid and quality made). The people I buy most of my "finds" from know nothing about TR items. They just call me when they find something with a swastika. They like to double their money and I'm good with that. The two pieces today came from the same source...an "estate sale" in New Orleans.

Re: Got these today
After a tea bath more gilt shows. new pics show it next to a silver "107" wound badge and you can see the difference.
Got lucky as I needed a gold grade. Too bad it's worn down. Oh well, I still like it.
Added some pics of the back showing catch and hinge.
Has anyone ever seen this type before?

Re: Got these today
Today I got this nice collection of Turnerschaft and DRL certificates and medals that belonged to one guy. It includes some medals from the 1920's and early 30's and his DRL badge and booklet with a photo of him in a RAD uniform from 1937.
The badge is stamped HENSLER PFORZHEIM. The medals are engraved and dated.
I'll make my standard offer to open a new topic in the appropriate place and show each item if anyone's interested. But it seems very few are ever interested in what I got to show.
Anyway, my total expense was $115. Oh well, I better start putting more stuff on Ebay if I'm gonna keep this up. Nazi stuff be expensive.

Dennis,
keep posting, many of you're posting are interesting and informative.... some require little/no comment other than "nice stuff". The DRL lot is certainly extensive, unfortunately the 1920s/early 30s (pre-NSDAP) is much under-rated collector-wise, but is in good hands now!

Re: Got these today
Your Gau-Thing tinnie is interesting as I have never seen a tinnie for a Thing before. So I did some research. I already knew about the ceremonies held in such places, and I found that the unique Thing amphitheater design for Koblenz-Trier is clearly shown on the tinnie itself. It also turns out that the eagle design on the tinnie is quite similar to the one that was constructed on site:Dennis Redler wrote:Thank you my friends.

Re: Got these today
Nice lot, I've had the Gau Thing tinney, never seen the NS Hago one, however. Nice early HJ pin and later-style NSDAP eagle stick pin, too!

The Otto Hoffman HJ badge is a well known fake.

Re: Got these today
You're right...bummer. Got the eagle stickpin from the same place and now I wonder about that.
Spent $35 dollars for the pair. Live and learn.

Oops.... didn't look that close at the HJ pin.... obvious "coffin plate" too!, my mistake! Show a better picture of the NSDAP eagle then for sure if they came together.
