Request identification of the first and third medals (the later with a horizontal bar on the ribbon) on his medal bar, the square-shaped badge (commemorating Freikorps service, perhaps), and the dark-colored cross- with wreath- on his patch. Also, is it just me or is his EK I about 3/4 the size of an average EK I?
The following is the list of awards I know him to have received:
00.06.1916 1914 Eisernes Kreuz I. Klasse
00.00.191_ 1914 Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse
ca. 1934 Ehrenkreuz des Weltkrieges 1914-1918 mit Schwertern
ca. 1921 Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen (Schesischer Adlerorden) 1.Stufe
ca. 1921 Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen (Schesischer Adlerorden) 2.Stufe
00.00.19__ Kommandeurkreuz I. Klasse des Ernestinischen Hausordens mit Schwertern für militärische Verdienste
00.00.1933 Goldenes Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP
00.00.1931 Abzeichen des SA-Treffens Braunschweig 1931
00.00.1929 Nürnberger Parteitagsabzeichen 1929
00.00.194_ Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP in Silber
00.00.194_ Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP in Bronze
00.00.193_ Deutsches Reichssportabzeichen in Bronze
00.00.1934 Ehrendolch der SA (mit Wirkung vom 03.02.1934)
00.02.1934 Ehrenwinkel für alte Kämpfer
24.03.1933 Ehrenbürgerreht der Stadt Nossen/Sachsen
08.01.1941 Grand Cross of the Star of Romania (presented by King Michael of Romania)
With thanks in advance,

Re: Unknown awards of SA-Ogruf. Manfred Freiherr von Killinger
Michael,
The Cross with bar in the photo is an "Oldenburg- Friedrich August Cross 2nd. Cl. with a "Vor dem Feinde" (Combat Service) bar. The 1st "pocket" photo with the normally sized Iron Cross 1914 1st Cl. also has the 1st Cl. Fr. August Cross which is larger that the EK, making it look smaller. The square badge is Freikorps- Marine Brigade Wilhelmshaven (Ehrhardt). The 2nd photo is a different uniform, and also has the 1914 F. August Cross 1st cl., on the other side of the pocket and what looks like a black wound badge where it was previously... not an unusual occurrence since the awards were changed/added with uniform changes. The Cross does seem to have distorted upper arm... maybe a photo effect?
That's what I see... hope this helps.
John G.

Thanks so much, John.
Very helpful indeed. Particularly grateful for the identification of the Freikorps badge, about which I learned more here: http://antique-photos.com/en/awardsdata ... hardt.html
Best wishes,
~ Mike

And what about his breast star and sash?
