Hi!
Sorry for delay but I was offline in Christmas.
Germania was right - it's ground fund badge and I'm sure that pin is oryginal because I funded this badge
Ther's no odal rune on badge, only cross (his style is strange to me) with swastika in it, oval wreath with bow at the base.
I believe more in Durkirchen is right (WHW), that this is chaplain badge but I can't prove that.
best

funny badge
Hi
I have to tell you that there are no such badge in any of the well known books for WHW
tinnies,(Tieste-Tagungsabzeichen, and WHW -alle Gaue..and others)
As a Tinnie collector for 40 years, and this may go for German medals and so, I have to say that this badge, I my eyes, are a phantasy, as I know all German Caplains badges which are to be seen in the Bender Publishing sort of books , Uniforms and Traditions of the WH,WL and KM.this wont do.
Anything can happen, and will do-but I think this may bee a badge that went trough the acidbad, -
I have some ground-digger-badges, and lying in water, this may look like it, but I really love to hear where this was found.

Hi from Hallandsen
Hello,
I'm not familiar with WHW badges at all, but I also don't believe it's some mysterious Chaplain Badge. But, to be honest, some 2/3 of people state it's for chaplain, 1/3 - WHW. But no-one can support his opinion with any proof - a picture, book caption, even www.
Actually I know four such badges discovered in Poland alone in last, lat's say, four years.
I'm only aware of the location of the very first badge depicted in this topic - it was found in the Masovia, i.e. central region of Poland.
The second one is described (in the original forum, where it was posted for identification) as made of zinc and found in a wartime dug-out entrance, the finder also stated, it was second such a badge he had found.
I've located the fourth one, at the http://www.poszukiwanieskarbow.com forum:
No further details are given, save that yet another such a badge was found in a former RAD camp.
There was also a story quoted there, told by a WW2 veteran - but not supported otherwise, that such badges were to be worn by Volksdeutsche in occupied territories.
Regards
Grzesio
