NorbertL -- Please post in English, so our international members can all follow what you have to say. If your English-language skills are poor, a machine translation will do. That way, everybody doesn't have to do the same thing that one person should have done already.

I wonder, how it´s possible that no one recognised this "Abzeichen für Volksdeutsche" since the wartime??
I'll just excavate this old topic. :)
Well, not no-one! There was such a theory, as an old man actually recognised it as a Volksdeutsch badge, talking to a researcher some 10 years ago... But it was just one of the theories (even if one of the most plausible ones), with nothing to support it other than his words.
Time showed, it appeared the true one thanks to NorbertL. :D

I never doubted that, AFAIK.
Hello,
how much it can cost the emblem?

Hi

The badge in question is a so called "Badge of Pillgrims,- I is made by Munks from a Convent (Kloster) named Weingarten.
During WWII it was used as a Reservelazarett, after the War, plenty black german Woundbadges was found, the Munks
refurbished these badges with a cross,- they where sold from the Weingarten Convent, seems to be many to be found
in Poland.
As far as I remember, it can all be googled

Hello Hallandsen,

What's the connection between your badge and the Volksdeutsche badges being discussed here?
Here's one of mine.

cheers
